Movin' Out, the big Broadway dance show in which Twyla Tharp channels the songs of Billy Joel, is back in Chicago where it started, and not for the first time. Unlike most so-called jukebox musicals, Movin' Out does most of its storytelling via dance rather than squeezing the songs into a hokey script. By all reports, this touring company is fully up to the standards of the original cast, and boasts a number of fresh faces ( not to mention agile and svelte bodies ) with good vocal chops. This time around, Movin' Out is at the Auditorium Theatre ( Congress at Michigan Avenue ) through July 9 only; 312-904-1400; $18-$80. Photo by Elizabeth Parkinson by Joan Marcus.
