Common Threads—an organization founded by famed chef Art Smith and his partner, Jesus Salgueiro, to educate children about nutrition and physical well-being and to cultivate an appreciation of cultural diversity through cooking—held its third annual World Festival at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago, on Mon., March 17. Besides the founders, attendees included famed chef Paula Deen, Art Smith and Jesus Salgueiro , popular cooking duo The Hearty Boys ( pictured image #2 ) and musician John Legend ( pictured image # 3 ) , who provided entertainment at the VIP after-party at The James Hotel, 55 E.
