2004-11-24

The Avenue Tavern, a corner bar with warmth and charm along North Broadway in Chicago's Lakeview District, has joined the Chicago Gay Hockey Association ( CGHA ) as the title sponsor for the 2004-2005 season.

The Avenue Tavern will be prominently promoted on the team's jerseys, among other promotional options. The CGHA, now in its third year, plays its games in the Rolling Meadows adult senior league.

The CGHA is a predominantly gay team, with African-American, white and Asian players, plus lesbians and several straight players.

See www.chicagogayhockey.org or call the CGHA hotline: ( 773 ) 509-6398.
