Sinozich is a nationally renowned director of choral groups, including gay choruses in Chicago. His experience includes: Four years as accompanist for Chicago Gay Men's Chorus ( 1988-1992 ) ; One year accompanist for Windy City Gay Chorus ( 1991-1992 ) ; One year interim director of Windy City Gay Chorus ( 1992-1992 season ) ; Artistic Director of Chicago Gay Men's Chorus since January 1997; Artistic Staff of Chicago Symphony Orchestra since 1995; Artistic Staff of Grant Park Music Festival since 2002; and he is the newly appointed Music Director of Chicago Acappella.

Sinozich writes: "My 'full' coming out had an interesting timeline. Since I told limited people in high school and college, all I was aware of was the general nature of 'Gay Liberation' which was 'out there' somewhere. When I joined the Franciscans ( who I told I was gay ) it was 1981 and AIDS was first coming into the news. I didn't feel a part of the GLBT community as a Friar ( again, that community was 'out there' and not part of the community that I was in, even though I called myself gay ) . Being a celibate friar during the first five years of the AIDS pandemic kept me out of the circle of those who caught the disease early on. As soon as I left the friars though ( 1986 ) I immediately became aware of people getting ill and dying. Even more so, once I joined CGMC as accompanist in 1988, I became aware of people dying right and left. CGMC was singing at least one memorial service a month, either for a member or a patron."
