TIMELINE

The Chicago Gay History Project is working to have a timeline of people, events and organizations over the course of more than 100 years. The companion book, Out and Proud in Chicago: An Overview of the City's Gay Community, divides the history into decades, first from the 1800s-1959, then 1950s-1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s.

In the TOPICS area of this web site, you can see many of those articles, with more added each month, looking back at the history of our movement.

By the full launch in September, 2008, we will have a timeline outlines to provide an overview of the Chicago community.
